The calligraphy speaks of how man tries to improve upon nature. But in the process, he deviates from nature's way by setting up artificial codes of right and wrong. For example, the great landlord stands on his bridge admiring his palace and all that he built-- the bridges, dams and ponds. But the landlord is upset with the Kingfisher for "stealing his fish"... so he calls the Archer to eliminate the Kingfisher.
Man wants to live with nature, but he continually tries to alter or eliminate any part of it that disturbs him.
When will we learn that we are only a very small element on this planet, but with the potential to destroy it all?
