This image is about honoring the great salmon and welcoming them home. The place exists today as it did centuries ago–it's the sacred grounds where I have many of my dreams.
The cedar bark banners I included into the image to signal the return of the great ones.
In miniature the Shaman watches to tell the people when they can begin to fish. The rituals and rules of the first fish are fascinating and thought provoking.
Nature dwarfs us all if we'd just understand it, and live within it.
